CIV102-Cardboard Bridge Design and Construction
The project’s requirement was to build a cardboard bridge that stands as much load as possible with the minimum of 400N of mobile load.

Our group was pretty much confident that our design was among the best ones. However, a very small factor was neglected in design decision and that was the end diaphragms and their position with respect to the supports. The bridge failed under the load of 610N while the prediction was 1080N. The structural body mainly in the middle was still hard as a rock but because of very tiny inconsideration the entire value of the bridge was lost.

This experience showed that I should not only focus on one aspect to the point that it completely make other important considerations vanish, even very tiny neglect might result in a massive destruction and failure.
